Enjoy your decadent browned butter blondies!Â
Ingredients :
– ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
– **1 cup light brown sugar (packed)
– **1 large egg
– **2 teaspoons vanilla extrac
– **1 cup all-purpose flour
– **½ teaspoon baking powder
– **½ teaspoon salt
– **½ cup chocolate chips (or white chocolate chips, nuts, or your favorite mix-ins)
Instructions :

Step 1: Brown the Butter :
1. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
2. Continue cooking, stirring often, until the butter turns golden brown and smells nutty. This takes about 5–7 minutes.
3. Remove from heat immediately and pour into a mixing bowl. Let cool for about 5 minutes.
Step 2: Make the Batter :
1. To the cooled browned butter, add:
– Brown sugar
– Egg
– Vanilla extract
2. Whisk until smooth and combined.
3. In a separate bowl, mix:
– Flour
– Baking powder
– Salt
4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
5. Fold in the chocolate chips (or your chosen mix-ins).
Step 3: Bake the Blondies :
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or grease it lightly.
3. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
4. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Step 4: Cool and Serve :
1. Let the blondies cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then lift them out using the parchment paper.
2. Cool completely on a wire rack before cutting into squares.
Tips for Success :
– Don’t Overbake: Blondies are best when they’re slightly gooey in the center.
– Custom Mix-Ins: Try adding toasted pecans, dried cranberries, or even a sprinkle of sea salt on top for extra flavor.
– Storage: Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days (if they last that long!).Â
